पुरुष सूक्त में विराट् पुरुष परमात्मा की स्तुति की गयी है। इसके पाठ से बुद्धि तेजस्वी होती है। वैसे तो नित्य ही इसका पाठ करना चाहिये, परन्तु चातुर्मास में इसके पाठ का विशेष फल माना जाता है। इसमें कुल १६ श्लोक हैं। प्रथम श्लोक का कहीं-कहीं अलग स्वरूप देखने मिलता है।
